chicago!

i'm back again!

tuesday - the ride up was full of 90's dance music in which stacey and i raised the roof and got jiggy with it. we saw a vasectomy reversal place and a hemorrhoid center. we ate at a waffle steak (house) for lunch and they wouldn't take my visa checkcard! crazy indiana waffle steaks. when we got to chicago we met up with stacey's nick and had dinner at a place in chinatown. i had delicious chili tofu and stacey had delicious mango tofu and no one cares what nick had because it wasn't nearly as delicious. then we went over to nick's apartment and watched some clone high. freakin hilarious.

wednesday - a little visit to millenium park to see cool face changing watery bricks. then public transportation to belmont for some shopping. i got some green gaucho pants (i think that's what they'd be classified as) and a rainbow sweater from a vintage place. we ate at a vegan restaurant which i already updated about. we got vegan desserts (strawberry cheesecake for me and chocolate tarte for stacey) which were pretty damn delicious for no animal product. i don't know how they did it. then some stores that were obviously for drag queens since we entered boys town. back to the apartment. i'm thinking something happened here that i'm forgetting because the next thing i remember is delicious mexican food and delicious guacomole made by stacey.

thursday - lazy day. we went out to the lake for a bit which was very nice. came home and had delicious grilled cheese sandwiches with sun dried tomato pesto (stacey knows how to feed a girl right!). some phase ten and then some three hour napping. we watched vera drake and drank white russians (yummy!). then we attempted to get indian food but fate was against us.

friday - indian fooding for lunch. it was pretty good but taj is still my favorite. then we hit downtown for some serious shopping. we went to h&m but didn't really find anything which is depressing because it's so cheap. then stopped at urban outfitters where we both found some good stuff that was expensive. i ended up with an awesome brown skirt and a blue top to match the one that stacey bought. stupid urban outfitters taking all my money because the stuff is so awesome! *shakes fist* then to...*thinks* i forget. the store with all american made stuff. american something but i forget what the something is. back home where we watched zona del silencio (i swear i've almost figured out that damn spanish plot) while drinking tequila sunrise and then mean girls because i hadn't seen it. we went to china town again so i could try some bubble tea. it was pretty good. skipboing and then to a birthday party. unfortunately some guy stole a few dvds and the party had to be cut short. boo!

today - got up and left. had some problems meeting steve in indiana but it all worked out in the end.

i had a super great time even though stacey thinks she didn't do well at showing me the city. psch. i wasn't there for the city anyway! also, somewhere in there stacey made delicious blueberry coffee cake and poppyseed cookies.

it was just like a waffle house. the menu said waffle house and the door said waffle house but the big sign in front that said waffle steak. it was weird.
